Lake Drummond and Dismal Swamp

Lake Drummond is in Southeast Virginia, about 4 hours away from college park. Taking the Feeder Ditch water trail in, you can camp for free at an Army corp of engineer campsite, which has bathrooms but no drinkable water. The canals are perfectly straight, and Lake Drummond is circular, possibly made by an impact with a meteorite. There are lots of cypress trees here, and the water is darkened by tannins and possibly minerals. Really cool site.
